Kreig was blissful, he felt his strength returning. He placed his free hand on her back to hold her close


Jargos nuzzled Layla

Layla tried to form a sphere in her hand, but it wouldn't even flicker. "I hope this is truly the end of our fight. My powers are completely gone until morning." This frustrated Layla a bit, but she decided not to worry too much about it and drank a cup of warm tea while next to Jargos.

Jargos passed out on the bed next to Layla while she drank her tea


Kreig was lost in the moment with Luna and he didn't really want to find his way out

Layla pulled a blanket over Jargos and went over to a bookshelf to find something to read; however, even when she got back to the bed to read it, the letters were only blurry to her from her drowsiness. She fell asleep next to Jargos and slept with some ease.

Luna had noticed that the two had both dosed off. She laughed a little quietly but even yawned herself. The hour was growing late and even she was tired.

Kreig kissed her cheek as she yawned and he chuckled

"You can go to sleep if you want, you know"

Luna smiled. "I think I will. I'm just overly exhausted. Good night, Kreig." She hugged him and walked over to the last available bed. It wasn't long before she finally went to sleep.

Kreig smiled and hugged her back before getting up to eat

Layla and Luna both felt better as the night went on. With a good night's rest already set for them, the two women slept peacefully.

Jargos had a nightmare about the woman in black. She wasn't dead


Kreig ate his fill, then went to lay down and sleep

Dawn soon rose over the horizon. Luna and Layla both woke up a bit later than usual that morning, but they felt fully refreshed and ready to get active for the day.

Jargos was sure of it, their job was not done yet, it needed to be all four of them. He slowly began to wake up, his usual sounds filling the room



Kreig was still fast asleep

Luna and Layla both woke up around the same time shortly after Jargos did. When Layla realized she had fallen asleep next to Jargos, her face turned a bit red. "Morning," she said.

Luna had stretched a bit and paid little mind to Layla.

Jargos smiled and mumbled a good morning to Layla as his body finished and he slowly rose



Kreig was still sleeping

Layla smiled. She went and lit the fireplace with a match and warmed herself by it.

Jargos was happy for a moment, then remembered his dream. His smiled faded, as he stood up



Kreig's spine began to crack

Layla could see a hint of concern on Jargos' face. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked.

"We have more work to do" Jargos said



Kreig was beginning to wake

Layla sighed. "Then my fears have come true." At this statement, Luna stood up and stretched. She had already guessed what Layla was thinking.

Kreig stood up as Jargos nodded to the women

Layla said, "Alright, I think about all of us are now aware that something more is going on. We need to talk about this while we have some privacy." She crossed her arms to think. "I'm a little bit concerned that Her Highness has fallen ill. It seems a little coincidental."

Kreig was wondering what they were talking about


Jargos nodded, but he was unsure. Though he had strength enough to bash through the walls and find out if the queen was here, but it was too soon

Luna started to think a bit. "I'm wondering whether or not we should split up. Half of us stay here, half of us stick around Garlan."

"If we do, we'll be vulnerable to an attack by the woman in black. She evaded our combined strength" Jargos said


"Wait, wait, wait! What did I miss!?" Kreig was extremely worried

Layla sat back on the bed for a moment. "From what I'm understanding, the woman in black is our main priority. It wasn't Mortifer. This woman obviously has some killer magic. Probably enough to match all of ours combined. Her minions could restrain all of us except Luna, and that's pretty much only because I believe Luna got a bit lucky Shortly after we assumed she was gone, we obviously came here. I'm in the understanding to this point that almost all of us are on the same page, but I'll clarify to make sure. Something isn't right and that woman isn't dead."

Krieg was in shock. He sat down


Jargos nodded
