Just another day in the Apocalypse

Cyrus followed along with Keith. Meanwhile, Dare lead on Sasha and Matt to an old and abandoned storage building just a couple roads down from the residential area.

Cyrus tightened his hand around the pistol on his belt. "I'd be careful. If there's any high ranks out here, we might be in trouble. They won't harm either of us as long as we don't pick a fight with them, but they won't hesitate to take her."

"Then they've picked a fight with me" Keith said, Machetes on his hips and war-hammer in his right hand. "I would have expected them to clear out by now, but who know for sure" Keith stated

"If they have a trail, Keith, they'll follow that trail until they've found what they're searching. I've got to give him some props for efforts."

"Didn't you hear the story, tenacity killed the cat?" Keith asked as they walked

"Tenacity also got them over half of WOOTU."

"So, he'll be a zombie in charge of zombie makers" Keith paused "Zomception" he said with a straight face and kept walking

"Rumor went that they've tried to create their own cure over a stolen document from Joey. We don't know how that's going, but I have all ideas the scientists hardly know what they're doing. What scares me is the rebellion group of WOOTU. They could be with the government trying to fool them. Spread the virus instead of curing it."

As Dare led them on, she kept listening for any odd sound. Once they were in the building, she instructed them to listen for anything at all. If there was something wrong, any kind of hesitation, she was ready to leave with Sasha and Matt to another location.

"Why would they want to spread it further?" Keith asked

"The stories go that the rebellious group started conducting dark projects. We didn't get any word about it until after the government busted all of us. I worked with Joey, but it was mainly because I worked in the medical field. WOOTU found this virus, found out what it did, and wanted to understand it. However, throughout the process of it, one of us ended up infected. That's when we found out what it did. Joey wanted to destroy it. One of our own, however, turned against us." He sighs. "The story goes that the one person apparently worked to try to find a way to control the virus, control the mind. If they could force the virus to work to their will, they could do whatever they wanted in the world."

"I'm pretty sure virus' don't take lip, I don't that's going to end well for him" Keith stated

"Nanobot technology can be very useful in a time like this, Keith. The brain is what allows the creatures to live. If they can control the brain of the zombies, they'll form their own empire against the planet."

"Seems like he needs the cobwebs cleared from his skull, zombie empires." Keith shook his head "Why can't he just go play with an ant hill if he wants to be God?"

"I don't know the true purpose, but it would be able to force people to do his bidding. I don't know the man's name, as his identity is still a secret to most of us. I have all ideas that he has supporters and they're in the government's ranks to find the members of WOOTU that will attempt to go against the rebellion. Dare's one of our top. She and Joey found the cure, or at least a prototype version. Before Joey could finish all his research and record it, he used it on Dare to save her life. They're back at step one now, and Joey has some of his records. However, people would kill to get it... Or to get rid of it."

"We'll just have to stop them, Cyrus. I won't let anything bad happen to her" Keith said as they got closer to the building. He put a finger to his lips to signal that it was quiet time. He slowly made his way to a tree from which he could see the building

Agents were outside the building as well as inside. The entire house was still being searched. Two times, three, four. They weren't about to give up on the search. Unknown to the two, agents were also in the town. Bloodhounds were out, following scents of whatever they could find. The hounds weren't searching for male scents, however. They wanted a female scent and whatever trail they could find.

Keith signaled to Cyrus that they had to abort ASAP as he backed up from the tree and got ready to run to town

Cyrus nodded, motioning for Keith to follow him. He had gotten a text from Dare. They were at the storage building.

Dare heard a shift of sound. "Sasha, Matt, was that one of you?" Two agents were in the building by coincidence but had caught sight of the three.

"let's go" Keith whispered and in a silent rush, dashed back to town

Cyrus hurried along with Keith. "I've got a bad feeling, man," he whispers.

From a distance, she hears another sound until, suddenly, she was tackled to the ground. "Dare Tallen, you are under arrest by the order of the government and the president."

She struggled under him. "Let me go!"

"I'm afraid I can't do that, ma'am."

She managed to force him off of her after struggle and they immediately went into a fist fight.

"Neither do I. Alright soldier, double time" He charged at full speed back to the town

Cyrus was fast on his feet. Joey had stayed hidden in the truck, upon Dare's request, and texted Dare to ensure she was alright. Dare went to pick up her phone to call for help but it was tossed from her hands. Out of nowhere, she felt shocks go through her body that forced her to the ground. An agent had come up from behind her with a taser. She was knocked unconscious. One of them radioed on a walkie talkie, "Tallen found and detained. Back to headquarters." They exited through the far back door, the front being the entrance from the town.

Matt went to tackle the agents, he and Sasha were in the storage unit with her. Sasha ran out front to tell Joey

One agent turned around to battle Matt while the other, carrying Dare, hurried out the door to a van located just near the door.

Joey was in the truck, still trying to reach Dare, until he saw Sasha. He stepped out. "Sasha, what's going on? Dare's not answering her cell."

Matt was a gun man, not a hand to hand guy, but he still fought his hardest. He ounched like a mad man, stalling for time if nothing else. "They're taking Dare!! HURRY!!" Sasha screamed. Keith could hear the scream in the distance and did everything he could to go faster

Joey hurried alongside Sasha to hurry on to the brawl. As Matt fought the agent, however, the other one was quickly getting away. He placed her in the back seat of the van and, breaking the speed limit, hurried on out of the town with the other agents that were leaving as well.
