Cathain headed to the lower platform. Exiting the tower, she glanced around carefully. She watched for the Scyphozoa.

The tower began to glow navy blue, then red, then navy blue, and then red again.

Cathain turns to walk back into the tower and something begins to grab her. The Scyphozoa had appeared when she wasn't aware. "Let go of me!" XANA spoke to her, through her mind, to avoid interference.
"This time, I'll have what I want. And it will have to come from you since your partner won't stay on Lyoko long enough."
Cathain felt light-headed. "You won't win... Give it up. I'll protect Ryou from the Scyphozoa... Even if it kills me. You and I are both linked to the computer. And if I tell Ryou to shut it down... he will. I don't care about the cost. I'll protect him."
"Then you just made your death wish. I have what I need. And I will win. Sleep tight, child."
She felt some sort of shock within her. Cathain blacked out.

"Yo Xana, you called?" Ryou asked, revirtualized on Lyoko. "Wondering how I got back on Lyoko so early? I call it Code XAV, Xana Anti-Virus. Phase 1, early revirtualization. Phase 2, remote devirtualization." Ryou remotely devirtualized Cathy as he spoke, "Phase 3, I get angry." Ryou continued as he appeared on the other side. The jellyfish exploded as he maliciously grinned. He walked to the tower as he placed a hand on it. "Phase 4, take over." Ryou spoke, as the tower began to glow a dark navy blue. Ryou entered the tower as his aura began to cover the whole tower. He levitated to the top as he placed his hand on the screen. It read "XANA" as Ryou opened his eyes. "RYOU" was embedded into the screen instead as he put in "LYOKO" as the password. "Force deactivation. Network shutdown. Real world link terminated. Return to the past v2 launch sequence--" Ryou was devirtualized as he stepped out of the scanner. "--now."

Ryou and Cathy were back in Cathy's room. "Oy, to think Xana made me launch a Code XAV. How are you feeling? It seems that he managed to get data on your digital key. t was a good thing it was only 60% of it."

Cathain was laying in bed, though with a major headache. "Thanks," she said faintly. Even in the return, Cathain was feeling weaker but safe. "My goal was to prevent you from coming to Lyoko. It would've... It would've been better if XANA didn't target you. I could've taken it. I didn't want you to." Cathain knew that if something were to go wrong, they could take down the computer. "I didn't care if it killed me. If XANA got to you... It'd be over. He'd have me cornered. Lyoko at his will. The world in his hands. You'd be his, and I'd be dead."

"Xana can't possess me. I'm immune. So are you. All those that fight on Lyoko gain the immunity. And besides, I have the same power as him. For him to take over me, not over my dead body, can he do such a difficult thing."

"But he can still catch you with the Scyphozoa. That's the thing. Nothing is immune to it. XANA still has more tricks up his sleeve. With each trip, I'm trying to avoid him. But something like he did today was out of my power of prevention. And if he's after my digital key, then I'll be in a mess if he takes it. I'm starting to wonder how much more I can take of the drainage, though."

"The jellyfish aren't immortal. I took down quite a couple of them. And they can't touch me. If they do, the power sleeping within me will cause a reaction enough to wipe out a sector of monsters. I have Xana's digital key embedded into my own. I'm immune to jellyfishes."

Cathain sighed. "I'm going to go see Yolanda. I need some Tylenol or something. What I really need is some miracle to pull off my speech tomorrow." Cathain left her dorm, heading to the nurse. Shannon came up beside her.
"Cathain, what's wrong? You alright?"
"No, really. I'm not. A lot on my mind."

Ryou greeted Shannon as he ran after Cathy, following her to Yolanda's office.

Shannon introduced herself to Ryou. "The name's Shannon McKenna. I've heard about you from Cathain." Cathain smiled. They soon reached Yolanda's office.
"Ms. O'Connor, I hear you're running for presidential of the Student Representatives."
"Indeed."
"What can I do for you today? You feeling alright?"
"I've got a migraine coming on, and I can't focus."
"Well, I'll see if I have anything."

"She usually tells me everything, and now I feel as if she's keeping secrets from me. I've been friends with Cathain since she came to the school. Is she in any trouble? Something been bothering her that maybe she should be telling me about? I can help her if something isn't right."
