| Computer suddenly yelled, "The Lightened has been destroyed." "WHAT?" Alan asked. "Someone finished off the ones you did not kill, those incurable, raw energy forms, the ones that weren't human weren't human." Alan's Mind Sync mark formed, taking the shape of a bright blue 'M' on his arm. A spirit in the form of a flame suddenly appeared as it spoke, "So we meet again, Alan. Sorry about the hasty appearance. I was quite busy with the Lightened." "YOU..." A spirit spoke as it took form of a dark figure next to Alan. "Time, it's been a while." "What are you doing here?" Alan asked. "It's him... the one who manipulated the Lightened. A voice yelled, "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?" Henry appeared on the right of Alan, his eyes glowing blue.
"The legendary trio forms again."
"What do you mean?" Alan asked.
The flame replied, "Henry, the leader of the Broken, the one that can see the future, the one that can control space. Alan, the one who can control time and the dreaded, cursed brat that they call the 'one with infinite possibilities.' You gave us trouble with that Mind Sync power of yours to be able to sync with energies of various types. The masters of Time and Space, a deadly combination, along with Time, who figured it all out. You three defeated Shadow-Bearer before and ruined my plans. That young lady, that partner of yours, Alan, destroyed Shadow-Bearer. It was then when I extracted his spirit to revive him, but you destroyed him. You passed your respective tests and are up to the next level. The Lightened is merely a level. And you're all stuck in my game. You, the legendary trio, may have stopped me before. But it's too late now. I controlled the head and the others to watch you. I doubted your loyalty, Alan. You played that double-agent game of yours and finished off the head, even with the power I gave him. Black energy and dark energy, defeated."
Dark energy formed a dragon that surrounded Alan as a barrier.
"Oh, so you possess dark energy? We are more alike than I thought. Masters of the energies, despite that you surpass me in that field."
"What is your purpose?" Time asked.
"To recreate this world as I see it." The flame replied.
Henry asked, "And what makes you think you can get away with this?"
"I already have."
Alan suddenly got in front of Heron as the dark energy attacked the flame. The flame took its spiritual form quickly, outmatched by Alan's preflexes into his plans.
The spirit chanted, "Azzrrraaaa, mecccccchaaaa seychooooo..."
An ancient mark surrounded Alan as he fell down to the floor. Alan yelled as the lights blacked out. "COMPUTERRR!" "I'M ON IT, SIR!" The lights came back on as the spirit and Heron were gone. "DAM*IT!" Alan yelled, banging the floor with his fist. Henry saw the ancient barrier seal. "Crap, what is that?!" Henry asked. Time replied, "It's an ancient sealing technique. Only Alan has the power to break it." "What level is it on?" Henry asked. "Level?" Time asked. Henry replied, "Alan and I use the level system. There are 10 levels to our powers. Levels correspond with the powers of the gates within one's self." "Ah, I see. So each level is matched up to a gate and then the power is calculated from it?" "Yeah." "Well, that technique is out of our league. It's off the charts. I have never seen such power concentrated into one place." Alan's eyes turned red as he broke the barrier. "Now I'm jealous." Henry said as he laughed to himself. Time asked, "How did you...?" "I'm good with seals." Alan replied. Henry replied, "Oh yeah, you know how to exploit each seal's weakness. What's its weakness?" "My Mind Sync powers. It just broke through it as if it was just plastic." "Really?" "Yeah, I just had to show my mark." "Maybe that mark of yours has something to do with it. Time, can you do an analysis of Alan's mark and get some background on it?" Time replied, "Sure, Henry. Hold on. I'll contact you both after I have completed the analysis." Time vanished as Alan replied, "I'm going to go after Heron." "Not now. We have no idea where he is." "Who knows where he can be... We need to save him!" "Now now, Alan. It's a trap. He wants us dead. He won't kill or do anything to Heron until you get there, so we can relax." "Alright." "Go tell Zelda and the others. I'm scheduling a meeting... now." Alan's aura took over as his mark appeared. His eyes became red as his wounds were healed. "You're stuck in that power zone?" "Yeah..." "Well, we have to stay on guard. Let's use that to our advantage." "Yeah." | |

| Zelda wondered in her mind why Heron wasn't at the meeting, before it was postponed. Perhaps he was asleep and wasn't needed for that meeting. Zelda soon shook the thought away and fell asleep until the following morning. | |
