Maya glanced at Zelda. "Is something wrong?"
"I have a bad feeling. That's all."
"Where's dad?"
"I don't know. I'm assuming maybe he went out this morning. Or he's still in bed. I don't know."

Alan returned to the room where everyone was eating. Red and white blood covered his scratched-up clothes as he fell to the ground. Henry kneeled down to him as Alan whispered, "The cloth... It's his... Take it. Computer is running a scan. I fell into a trap..." The ancient mark from before faded from Alan's back.

Zelda kept looking at the clock. Just another minute away. She glanced at Alan, and curiosity filled her mind.

Henry helped Alan up from the floor as his wounds suddenly vanished. "No more pulling Alans for you, Alan."

Zelda glanced at the clock as it turned eight o'clock.
"Okay, I'd like to know what went on last night. I know something is up."

Alan got up as he managed to hand Zelda a piece of cloth. "Sorry, Zel..."

Zelda took the cloth in her hand, and glanced at Alan. "Heron... he's..." She cut off in mid sentence. Unable to finish what she was going to say.

"I don't know. He could be... but he's most likely alive."

"But, there's still a chance that... " Zelda's voice suddenly cut off, unwilling and unable to finish the sentence at all. She held the cloth in her hand, taking note of every detail on it. Maya, who was able to take things easier, walked behind Zelda. She attempted to hug her own mother, in which she took a step away from her daughter.

Zelda walked out of the room, returning to her own room and closing the door. Laying on her bed, she felt a tear fall from her face and a chill in the air.

"She's not going to take this easy, even if there is a chance he's still out there. I can take things easier than her, because I grew up knowing it hard and being without a decent family. I was adopted. She had family who she lost. Of course, I'm sure you know the story, but you understand my point," Maya said, keeping her voice quiet.

Alan knocked on the door. "I may not have my walking back in order, but I can still teleport. Are you okay, Zel?"

Zelda stood up, about to walk to the door, and briefly glanced at her mirror. She swore she saw Heron next to her, only for a moment, and it flashed away. Continuing to the door, trying to push away her thoughts, she saw Alan. "I think so..." Zelda closed her eyes for a moment, then said, "this is all just still hard to take. Even if there is a chance, it still hurts me endlessly and immensely."

"Heron was bait. They wanted me... Henry... Time... you, Maya, Alex -- they wanted all of us. They won't kill him. If they do, we won't go after them. They want us to go after them. I learned that the hard way."

"I'd give anything to see his face again, Alan. Even my own life... I don't want him hurt, so even if I tried I'd only get to see him dead if he isn't already. I swear, I can... I can see his reflection in the mirror, and all I want to do is to push him out of my mind so I don't have to feel this endless pain I do inside. But, I don't want to forget him. I want to go after him, but not at the cost of his life if it hasn't been already."

"Oy, I know what you're going through. Heron's a close friend of mine. He has been for twenty years, maybe even more. Henry and I ant to save him, but it's dangerous for now. That's why I ended up with this." Alan pointed at his left arm. "That was a scar from lightning." Alan then pointed at his right arm. "That was my mark that set off an explosion when they attacked it." Alan then pointed at his cheek. "I can't punch back a girl. I owe the other guy who aimed at me some gratitude for hitting her when I dodged it."

"I want to go after him so much. I have loved him ever since I met him. So, at this point, I'd give anything to see him again. I don't care what it takes. I don't want to see his reflection. I want to see him. If I ever get my hands on the people who did this to him, I'd probably kill every last one of them. Even if it took every last inch of my power."

"First of all, it's the guys behind the scenes of Shadow-Bearer, the Lightened, everything. They failed with Shadow-Bearer. You destroyed him. They extracted his soul. I was recruited to help destroy it. Now he's trying his plans once again. I think I have enough strength. I need both of your hands. I can probably do a flashback vision. I went to save Heron, but I expected a trap, which there was, but I couldn't find him. I found a piece of his clothing, though. It shows that there were signs of a struggle that led to the tearing of this piece of clothing from his clothes. It could be the one who controls lightning that did it, since the cloth was burnt at first, before I purified the lightning's energy. Heat energy transferred from the lightning to the cloth and burned it. It's heat energy, so I gave it a shot, and it worked. Now, do you want to see the flashback of what happened? You could see the enemies and maybe you can tell something from it that I couldn't."

"I don't know if I can... but I'm willing to try. Sometimes Maya has a better shot than I do, but, her ability is slightly different than mine. There's a chance I might can see it better than her. I don't know if I'll be of much help to you if that isn't the case." Zelda paused for a moment. "I don't want her to see who it is, because I don't want her going off on her own."

While Zelda was distracted, Alan stared into her eyes as she then stared back. Alan's eyes suddenly showed movement, his ocular powers activating. "Crap!" Zelda yelled as she was already in the flashback. "Yeah, you have to be off guard for me to show you a flashback."

"Sometimes, I hate it when you do that." Zelda glanced around for a moment, as she held almost a blank expression.
"Alright. Where were you at? I can only see a hallway leading up to a room for the moment."
