Destiny of Light

Layla listened to any nearby sounds. She had a fear that Mortifer was trying to find them.

Jargos was out cold and Kreig was moving him

"Let's get out of here. I have a bad feeling."

Kreig managed to lift Jargos and carry him



Mortifer was using the last of his dark power to exhaust the most power creatures in Darkwoods

For a split moment, Layla could feel some sort of rising darkness right outside the forest. In a full sprint, she dashed out of the forest to check the surroundings.

Kreig shifted to carry Jargos easier and make it easier to Protect Luna should something arrive

Layla saw brief flashes in the sky going over the Darkwoods. She knew Mortifer was up to something. "Mortifer! Show yourself already! Leave these people alone and fight me!" Layla's rage over Raven's death had already surfaced and she wanted to take him on face to face.

Jargos couldn't wake up and Kreig was getting sleepy himself

Luna stayed by Kreig.

Layla gazed up at the sky. "Mortifer... Come out!"

Kreig lead the way

A moment later, Mortifer's body appeared a few feet away from Layla. "Leave these people alone, Mortifer. They've done nothing to you."

"I want to take over the world. And the Darkwoods is my first priority."

Jargos and Kreig felt a tinge of pain in their chests, shocking Jargos awake

Jargos growled as he looked around, trying to figure out what happened, then both his and Kreig's instinct to protect went into overdrive, both of their rages boiled over. Kreig picked up Luna and then he and Jargos shoot off

Layla grew angry fast and immediately dashed off to take a bite at Mortifer. Her eyes were glowing white. Blue markings formed on her pelt in response to her powers.

Kreig and Jargos arrived to see Mortifer Vs Layla. Kreig was gentle as he put Luna down, then growled at Mortifer, his fully changed body electrifying the atmosphere. Jargos ignited his fire power, a heat wave coming off of him like a wall

As Layla nearly landed a bite at Mortifer's shoulder, he quickly grabbed her by her neck. Sudden immense pain ran through her that forced her back to her elven form. Mortifer tossed her back and Luna came to her side.

"I'm alright, Luna. I'm alright. Don't worry about me. Just get to safety."

Jargos went absolutely Ballistic, charging Mortifer head on. He swung with his claws in a furious strike, burning the very air, but he missed. Without missing a beat, he snapped his jaws forward aiming for Mortifer's leg, and missed again. Seething, Jargos launched himself at Mortifer, a fatal lunge

Layla wasn't able to watch. She turned away quickly, though Luna was amazed at Jargos' power.

Mortifer back up against a tree, taunting Jargos. He took the bait and lunged once more. Mortifer dodged and Jargos wrecked the trunk of the tree, knocking it back. Jargos was losing himself and he became faster and stronger and even larger than before. He was going bestial, all traces of humanity fading as he did everything in his power to end Mortifer


Kreig was terrified, he knew what was wrong

"We need to get out of here, right now!" He told the girls

Layla didn't want to leave Jargos to fight Mortifer on his own but Luna was already dragging her.

Jargos was going crazy, his power surging as he hacked and slashed at Mortifer, but Mortifer dodged and laughed



"Luna we need to out of Darkwoods and fast. Jargos is gonna lose control, Mortifer hurt Layla, nothing will stop him at this point" Kreig told her as they rushed along

Layla pulled from Luna's grip. "If he's about to lose it, then I need to stay behind. He's not going to hurt me, and I need to be here for Jargos."

Jargos was now twice his normal size and he was going at it with everything he had, and now Mortifer was having a hard time dodging. Jargos' heat was like an impenetrable wall and moving in it without superhuman strength was taking it's tool on the shadow king.


"Are you sure, Layla?!" Jargos' roared could be heard, and Kreig was worried that he might do something on accident

Layla nodded. "I have faith in him." She turned to follow the sound of Jargos' roar. "Besides, I have to either way it goes."

Mortifer was having to increase his speed, but he was almost getting hit and he realized he was on the losing end. He miscalculated and overestimated himself. Jargos was in a conniption fit. His fury was beyond measure



Kreig nodded and lead the way back

Layla ran back to the battlefield where she saw Mortifer and Jargos battling it out. She saw that Jargos was prepared to murder Mortifer. She wanted to calm Jargos down before he went too far, but she didn't exactly know if that's what she needed to do.
