"Fantastic..." Cathain exited her room. "I'm unprepared. They're expecting papers. Hopefully, I can pull it off."

"You can do this, Cathy-chan. Oh by the way, if you fail, we're disowning you. No pressure though!" Ryou replied jokingly to Cathy's nervousness.

Cathain facepalmed. "Just remember, you have to be hidden. Any visitors and there will be trouble."

"Alright." Cathain headed off to the library, taking her seat at the Student Representative's bench.

The principal looked at Ryou who was watching from the shadows. Ryou gave a thumbs up and nodded as the principal did the same. The speech competition started.

Cathain waited her turn patiently. The voices returned, then stopped. The words she could not make out. She turned her attention back to the competition. Soon, her name was called.

"Cathain O'Conner." The principal called.

"Oh, sh**e," she cursed under her breath.
"We all know why we're here. To, for the first time, elect a President of the Student Representatives. I'm here just like every other teenager in this room is. To become president and make a difference. My hopes are that you'll choose me in that role.
Students all have the same thing in mind. They want a school that'll offer a better education. More options. More choices. These doors we can open to them. And, the ones that pay no mind, well, they can spend their time in suspension. Although I'd like to encourage them, some do not want to change their minds. College is still years away, but we can prepare them now. Get them ready for the world.
Parents want their children safe here. Many have dorms that they use and are paid for by the parents themselves. Let's repay them by benefiting the entire school. It only takes one little action to make a chain reaction.
Money is a problem, but I have so many ideas toward raising money for the school. Recycling cans and bottles across the campus and town, helping with town projects, assisting the elderly and disabled, and just being nice to everyone. All of it will pay off in the long run. We just have to give it all a shot. Kadic hasn't looked into it before, but, why not try it now?
If I become elected, I hope to help the Council make decisions that better the school and the students. Being on the Student Council is fine, but I want to take it one step forward. To be the one that guides the Student Body. Of course, under the approval of the Council itself. I dare not to betray the people that let me stand here today.
With that, I end my speech. Short, but hopefully sweet enough to satisfy the tastes of those that stand here with me today. My best wishes to the other competitors. Today is not a day to be rivals, but be comrades to lead Kadic into the future."

As she sat through the next speech, she felt almost exhausted. She had winged her speech. Now, just to survive through the rest.
