Ryou bypassed the maze as he went to the core. He spoke, "Network admin override, Ryou, Code Lyoko, ID 48598." The core began to glow. "Network shutdown for 1 week, allow access: Network admins, Cathain. Ryou, Code Lyoko, ID 48598 initiate hibernation sequence upon next tower deactivation, launch program devirtualization and return to the past v2."

Cathain entered the tower with ease and opened up the panel.
"Cathain. Code: Lyoko"
"Tower deactivated. Get ready for a return to the past."

The screen suddenly ready, "Core overwritten, launching network shutdown, Ryou, Code Lyoko. Terminating connection, launching designated devirtualization sequence, launching return to the past v2, network shutdown."

Ryou and Cathy were materialized into the real world. A screen read, "Launching network admin protection, user Ryou has been locked into protection. Launching designated user protection for user Cathain, user Cathain has been locked into protection." "Network terminated, super computer initiating hibernation. Threat detected, threat found in database as Xana. Xana has been locked. Would you like to set custom permissions for user Xana?" "Ryou, Code Lyoko, launch destruction sequence, destroy Lyoko and rebuild from custom backup. Terminate digital sea firewall for network admins and user Cathain."

"I'm destroying Lyoko, not the super computer. Lyoko can be messed around with as much as we desire. You're linked to the computer itself. It will go into hibernation. Since it will technically stay on, just in power-saving mode, you will be okay. After the week is over, the connection between you and the super computer will be gone. I already wiped out your key to get onto Lyoko. It will be reset next time you get on, a fresh new key that's encrypted to a high level."

"The longer I stay linked, the more I'll be able to predict his attacks. I haven't told anyone this, but I know when he's on the attack. Somehow, at least. Besides. Even with a higher level key, it's just going to give him something more to go after."

Cathain was already dressed, preparing for the meeting. "Okay, so, I have no papers, no notes, nothing. Great. This is what I get for being a Lyoko warrior."
Shannon was waiting outside Cathain's door.
