Kat smiled gently as Tom walked away. She walked back to her room for the time being and relaxed on her bed to gentle music.

Tom greeted Henry as he asked, "So what's the meeting about?" "You went against EPA strict rules without authorization to rewrite Kat's seal." Henry was suddenly against the wall, Tom's hand holding him at his shirt collar. "I had to rewrite her seal to fix up the issue between her energy and Aqua's energy. You can tell whoever you wish. That seal you put on her could have killed her." Tom tightened his grip and moved his head closer to Henry's. "If you mess with Kat, Lizzy, or any of my friends or do something stupid as to put such a restrictive seal without my authorization, I will properly hurt you." "Director's orders--" "I
don't care what the director says." "Oh do you." The director suddenly interrupted, putting his hand on Tom's shoulder. Tom released the director's grip as he released Henry. "Henry, you may be my friend, but you're also an elite root spy from the underground division." The director and Henry froze. "How did you--" Tom interrupted the director, "I'm not some little kid. If you mess with my friends, I'll take proper measures. Consult me before doing anything stupid. Alright?" Henry and the director remained speechless. "And director, you should know that having Agent Henry spy on me or Kat is a clear violation of EPA rules." The director asked, "I have every right--" "Director, you should know that I'm an AI Black Op under Agents International." "What?!" "You are in clear violation of several guidelines. You better watch out. I'm not supposed to give away my position. After all, I only returned to this corrupted agency under my new position. I'm a member of the high council for Agents International. I complete level X and Z missions that regard the safety of this world's existence." "So your trouble with the easy missions were just an act?" Henry asked. "Yes. Now, seeing that you two are insects in comparison to my rank, I could have you both fired." The director paused. "But you two are aware that I'm against such a stupid rank system and I'm not one to abuse it. However, I will report, as I have done before, all suspicious activity to the council." Tom took out a chemical tube as the director froze. "Where did you get that?!" Tom took out a shiny, silver ID card that had Tom's picture and the AI Council logo. "I have access to all rooms." "You little sneaky bast--" Tom replied, "Now, no cussing, Henry." Henry smiled. "--How dare you sneak around with your all-access pass and not invite me for the ride?" Tom smiled, laughing. The director felt uneasy. "My position is not to be revealed to anyone. Especially Kat. I'm keeping an eye out for her. I know more about the prophecy now, thanks to the recent invasion. Kat isn't their target. EPA is." Tom left as the director sighed. Henry followed as the two continued to their originally planned meeting.

"How'd I do?"
"You're a great actor, Henry."
"So why did you reveal your council position and I couldn't?"
"Henry, we were promoted when we left EPA a year ago from this system. Agents International saw potential in us. But now you're one of the EPA agents. You're on the inside. I'm now further on the outside."
"I see. EPA is now surrounded."
"Exactly." Tom replied as Henry smiled.
"Want to grab some lunch and tea?"
"Sure." Henry replied as he continued, "We're such great friends."
"Don't forget actors." Tom added with a warm smile.
"True." Henry replied as he and Tom high-fived. The two continued to the cafeteria as they both grabbed some lunch and sat down. Tom went to make tea as he returned with two cups. The two finished making their tea as they enjoyed their sandwiches.

"I'll be right back." Tom replied, grabbing a turkey on wheat, napkins, a salad from the refrigerator, and some fruit and drinks, as he waved goodbye to Henry.

Kat soon fell asleep in her room. The strange voices had returned.
"You're changing, child. What will you choose? What path will you take? Who will you listen to? You've grown from a childish girl to a matured woman. You can make this decision."
"...Leave me alone..."
"Is that what you want? There is so much that you're being offered right now. Can you handle it all?"
"Stop... just stop it..."
"We'll see what choices you make. It's all depending on you. What will you choose?"

Tom whispered to the speaker, "I have your biometric signature recorded. Continue your harassment and violation of EPA rules, and you will be removed."

As the voice disappeared, Kat had awakened quickly from her sleep. Though, panting from her practical nightmare.

Tom was in bed after dealing with the previous incident with the shadow violating EPA rules, soon falling asleep.

Kat glanced at her clock. It read nine o'clock PM. She picked up her journal and wrote in it for the evening.

"Yet another day has gone by, and I still don't feel like myself. What's happening? And why are the shadows suddenly after me? It's occurring more often now, and it's overwhelming. Even if they do disappear quickly. Am I really turning over to my dark side? Are they trying to drive me over the edge? As I sit here in bed, sighing at the thought, I wonder when it all will be over."

Kat hides the journal, and falls back onto her pillow and goes back to sleep.

The following morning, Kat wakes up to find a small beam of sunlight shining through her window. Opening her curtains, the sun had not gave off its normal warmth. Instead, something gave her a chill. As if she thought something was coming.

Tom woke up as he froze. "They're here." Tom thought.

Kat quickly changed outfits, knowing something was about to happen.
"They're coming, child. What will you do?"
"Leave me alone."
"Another large choice may lay in your path."
"I told you to leave me alone!"
Kat noticed the darkened tone in her voice for the split second. She stood in front of her mirror, and took a step back.

Kat was suddenly on the floor as Tom was next to her. He pushed her aside and his behind the clothes shelf as the windows broke and the glass spewed everywhere. Tom covered Kat as he stood up, his eyes turning red. He formed a fist as he coped with the pain of the wounds healing as the glass fell out of his back. "They're here. Get down. Don't be seen. Put on this mask and cloak." Tom replied, handing over the black cloak and mask.

Kat almost hesitated, but quickly followed Tom's instructions without a word. She knew it wasn't her time to fight.

Tom quickly got ready as a shadow came in. The shadow suddenly fell to the floor, lit on blue flames, which soon faded.

Kat watched as Tom had fought back against the Shadows. It amazed her.

Tom fell to the floor panting, exhausted as he covered his left eye. "That's all of them." Tom put his hand in the air as the broken glass repaired itself.
