When Alice was alone from Jason, to which she asked him to follow Kat to the hotel, she heard a voice.
"You won't stop me."
"Whoever you are, you won't get them. They're leaving from London tonight."
Alice quickly returned to the hotel. She knew that Tom and Kat would be heading home soon.

(Yes, I'm going somewhere with this.)

"Where have you been, Tom? I've been looking everywhere for you. Listen, you've got to watch your backs while you remain in London. I know someone is after both of you, and whoever they are, they're powerful. I could hear their voice. He knows that I recieved a message for you and Kat. And he's going to do anything to get to you both."

"Sorry. I was busy fighting with that someone. He escaped, but I managed to kill off a few thousand of his army before they retreated. I think I got a bit carried away. Hopefully the storm clouds weren't that noticeable."

Alice shook her head slightly. "What time are you both leaving?"

Kat glanced at the time. "We've got a few more hours until we have to leave. I hear that they're calling for a blizzard tomorrow morning back at home. Looks like we'll be out of school for a while when we get back."

Alice sighed. "I really should take time to relax more. I tell you, ever since this all started, I've had little time to relax."

Alice soon walked out and returned home. She went into her library to pick a book and decided to read for a little while.
Meanwhile, Kat and Tom were still at the hotel.
"I think it's a bit of a good thing that this certain someone is after us and not Alice. I'd hate to see anyone hurt because of something that's after us."

While Alice was reading, the voice returned.
"I won't tolerate people intefering with my business."
"You won't get what you want today. Kat and Tom will be on the way home soon."
"Do you think that will stop me?"
"No, but, they'll be safe from you for now."
"But that doesn't mean you are."
"What? What is that supposed to mean?"
"You'll see soon enough, my dear."
The voice disappeared.

Tom froze. "My sixth sense is tingling. That's not good."

After about fifteen minutes, Alice soon got up to pick up a new book off her shelf. A figure appeared behind her. A shadow appeared on the floor as the figures hand passed over her. Alice quickly turned around.
"Your fear is being buried alive."
"How--"
"Do I know that? Well, my dear, I'm the Demon of Fear. I kill by making others face their greatest fears and literally scare them to death."
He rose his hand into the sky, twisted it, and then vanished. A sudden rumble went throughout the house. The large bookcase began to shake as books fell on top of Alice. As she went to run away, the bookcase fell on top of her. A sudden stab of pain went into her back. Alice tried to call for help, but failed as she blacked out.

"You don't think..." Kat paused. She quickly grabbed her communicator and called up Alice. No response came.
