Kat felt immensely hurt inside. She ran outside, not willing to face her parents at all. It was snowing outside, still, and it seemed like the snow only grew higher by each day. It was thick enough as it was.

| Kat was badly upset. She kept wanting to go home, but, there was no point. She wasn't welcome anymore. Kat felt lost. What bothered her as well was that she didn't have her coat, and she felt cold.
"If I don't get away, I'll try to go home, or something will be after me. Just keep running. That's my best shot."
She went on, but she was tired and cold. Not to mention she had barely ate anything that day. Kat fell into the snow, and soon everything faded to black. "Tom..." she whispered, before falling unconscious.

Kat suddenly awakened as Tom continued, "Don't think life stepped away from you. You stepped away from life. Running away, no matter where you go and reach, will always bring you nowhere. Henry arranged a room for you back at HQ. You're more than welcome to crash there. Otherwise, I can bring you to your house. Whatever you want to do, it's your call. Just don't run away from life, or life will truly run away from you..."
