Just another day in the Apocalypse

"I don't know, but does it matter? They're on their way here!" Keith said

Cyrus sighs. "I'll get Joey. Hopefully he'll have a plan on getting out of here. If the police get here, most likely we'll all have to leave or hide before hand. The problem is that we have a lot of things here that might be worth keeping off the government's hands."

Keith cursed under his breath

"I'll get Joey up and see how much we can get to a secured location. I'd say give Dare an hour's worth of sleep. She and Joey both have been up for a few days now, and if we have to run then she's going to need to be as awake as she can be."

"I'll get the supplies ready" Matt says as he packs up anything they might need

Cyrus hurries along to wake Joey up, who, by this point, is about as exhausted as he can be.

"Joey, wake up. Come on. We have trouble."

"Trouble...? What kind...?"

"Police trouble, Joey."

He jolted up. "Police? Wait, what? How?"

"I'll explain later. Let's get everything here secured for now."

Keith and Sasha helped Matt and shortly, everything was ready on their end

It takes some time for Cyrus and Joey to prepare majority of the things. Joey looks at the clock. "Keith, how long until they're expected here?"

"A few hours" Keith said

"Are we running or staying here? We have two places in this building we can hide."

"I don't know. Marc has lead them right to us, they'll search the place good, but if we run we might not have another chance to work on the cure." Keith paused for a moment. "Alright, we should scatter and then come back. If we make it look like we vanished, they might give up for this location" Keith looked around "Alright, pack up everything we can, all the equipment, make it look like we packed up forever ago. I'll go track down Marc" Keith headed outside. Matt and Sasha went to work helping

Cyrus and Joey work quickly to pack up all they can, moving anything to the attic that needs to be moved or evacuated from the building. Joey goes to wake up Dare a short time after.

"Dare, hey," he nudges her, "wake up."

"What...?"

"Come on. We have to leave. Marc's ratted you out and we have police on the way."

Keith heads to the den and digs into his backpack, getting a pack of patches and two shots of adrenaline. He takes a deep breath and heads outside. Matt sees him and goes to figure out what he's going to try and do.

Joey manages to get Dare up, though it's pretty clear she's tired. Within thirty minutes, Dare is up and about with Joey and ready to leave.

"I'm gonna find Marc and get that radio from him, Matt. Stay here with the others and keep them safe" Keith said. Matt nodded and headed back to pack up more things. Keith set out into the wilderness. He started trying to track Marc, but hunting was never really his game, so he went with his gut and assumed Marc was heading to the highway

While Keith was gone, Dare took to a cloak as well as Joey. For some reason, she felt afraid. Every inch of her body told her to run, and yet, for once, she wanted friends she could keep. People she wouldn't lose because of her own name.

After a few minutes, Keith found Marc, or more, Marc found Keith. Marc wasn't running, he was baiting the brute out. "DOn't you get it, you oaf!!?? She's a wanted criminal!!! We'll be rewarded for turning her in!!!" Marc shouted. Keith shook his head and cracked his neck. "She hasn't done a single thing to hurt you, and you turn her in. That's low, Marc, that makes you a rat." Keith said pulling out two patches. He puts one on each wrist, then stabs his leg with an adrenaline syringe. Injecting himself and tossing the syringe, his gaze locks onto Marc as the chemicals do their work. In project Alpha, Keith was put through [Censored-He*] and back to make his body as powerful as it was, but the patches were the extra step. The human brain limits the amount of power humans can put into actions to help protect them from overexerting themselves. The chemical in the patches eats the chemical the brain releases to limit power, thus giving a human access to their strength, but at a terrible cost. It can cause sever muscle tears, ruptured organs, and even death. Keith had looked through his bag and knew Marc had stole Venom, an experimental offshoot of Alpha, and that made him a priority target. Marc pulled out the syringe of Venom and injected himself. Keith gritted his teeth, he could see patches on Marc's neck and wrists. "I figured out what your little toys do, solider, and I've gotta admit that it's gonna be fun killing you with them"

Cyrus, secretly, takes off into the forest and out to the highway to find the two men. He had a bad feeling and he wanted to ensure that Keith and Marc were safe from any of the undead.

Keith cricled Marc, letting Venom take hold. Marc would need the handicap. Marc's veins could be seen all over his body and his eyes became bloodshot. He charged Keith, his mind fogged by Venom. He swung at Keith like a wild man. Doing his best to block was only getting him so far. Marc's punches and kicks were getting harder and harder as his blood filled with the drug. Marc hit harder and faster until he finally found an opening and socked Keith's bullet wound. Keith dropped to his knees in pain, only to be kneed in the face. Keith went flying backwards, his chest heaving. Unable to get up due to Marc's assault, Keith was barely able to block. Then Marc slipped up, he got cocky and backed off to use the police radio. "How long until you get here? You Need To Hurry!!" Marc shouted into the radio "It'll be two more hours at the most" "STEP ON IT!!!" Marc shouts. Keith got up and then went on the offensive, fueled by rage and adrenaline. He smashed Marc's shoulder and crushed his knee on the rampage. He went berserk, trying to break every bone in Marc's body

Cyrus hurried fast on his feet as he heard the yell. He had his pistol tight in his hand. Upon approaching the brawl, he held his gun outward and ready to shoot when necessary. "Both of you!" he yelled. "Enough is enough! I have a gun and I'm very much capable of using it!"

Keith stood down, but Marc didn't. While Keith was off guard, Marc sucker punched him and went to attack again

Cyrus shot his gun, aiming for Marc's shoulder. "I warned you, boy!"

Marc ignored the shot\, with all the drugs in his system he didn't notice the pain at all. He turned to Cyrus, a crazed look in his eyes as he started to charge. Keith got up and tried to get to him before he got to Cyrus

Cyrus quickly rolled out of the way and went to tackle Marc. He knew a few pressure points if he could get on Marc.

"Cyrus, Get Back!!" Keith barked at him, trying to keep him safe. Marc's elbow went flying, looking for Cyrus' temple
