Eight and Beyond!

JayJay hugged Claire, then grinned


"Just wait, Claire. It gets better"


Hans was leading a battalion of eight others . . . Claire remember seeing the Gym leaders of other regions in a magazine once, and she recognized these eight trainers to be . . . The Johto Gym Leaders!

Claire smiled. "Amazing." She glanced to JayJay. "He's your brother and he's got eight unplanned additions to the team. You got a plan?" Claire winked. The eight Kanto leaders joined together on bird Pokemon.

"We better get a move on, folks. We've got company!" Brock yelled out.

"What do you mean "Unplanned"?" JayJay chuckled. "We needed the extra help and Hans has been friends with the Gym Leaders of both regions for years"

Just before Brock alerted everyone to danger, Hans and the back-up landed

"Who called for an Army?" Hans said proudly as he dismounted his Charizard and looked to where Brock was pointing

Claire glanced around. "We're going full on to reclaim Saffron. If we can do that, then we can win back Kanto." She turned to JayJay. "Either you stay here or go look for Giovanni. I've got to go to Team Rocket headquarters to find my family."

"I'm heading after Giovanni" JayJay ran to Rocket HQ

Claire sighed. She would've rather have gone with him, half expecting that choice. She rushed off to the headquarters and tackled grunts, demanding the location of her family. They led her up to the upper cell block, which was also rumored to be the location of Giovanni's office.

JayJay found his way to Giovanni's office, but when he broke the door down, it was empty. The Grunts had tricked him

Claire quickly freed her family, hugging both her mother and her younger sister.

"Both of you find Misty. She'll get you out of here right away." They both hurried off. "Alright, Giovanni, here I come."

JayJay turned to leave and search somewhere else. He knew Claire was nearby, but knew she would call if she needed help. He broke down door after door searching

Claire could hear footsteps down the hall. She followed the sound.

JayJay continued his search, to no avail. He punched a wall, leaving a large hole in it before heading back to search the other wing

Claire knew Giovanni was nearby. She could feel it, metaphorically speaking.

"Show yourself, Giovanni."

JayJay didn't hear Claire, He kept searching, but heard a sinister laugh. He stopped, then popped his neck. he brought his fists together, cracking all ten of his knuckles and both his wrists all at the same time. He popped his spine by flexing the muscles in his back then took out his Pokeballs and called his team out.

"He's here, everyone, keep an eye out"

Giovanni refused to show. Footsteps echoed that led to the roof.

JayJay could hear the footsteps and growled. He motioned to Arcanine and Typhlosion the burn them a hole in the ceiling so they could get to the roof

Claire took the elevator up to the rooftop. She smiled at the sight of JayJay.

JayJay noticed Claire and smiled. He nodded to her, then looked around the roof

"He's here," she said. "He's hiding." She saw a shadow pass and chased it. Her speed had picked up with the wind blowing with her. "Got you," she whispered.

JayJay and his Pokemon followed at speed, hoping to end this all now

Claire jumped on top of the figure, though when they landed it was someone posing as Giovanni. "Da** you!" He tried to slash at her with an iron dagger. She threw the blade from his hands. It landed a few feet away.

JayJay picked up the blade and tucked it away on his belt, then ran to help Claire

"Tell me where Giovanni is or I swear I'll kick your head off," she said. She was enraged already by the fact that her family had been taken. "You took my sister, my mother, and you tried to take me. I won't stand for it! Tell me where he is!" Just a moment later, a man stepped out from the shadows.

JayJay saw Giovanni and his eyes went white. He leapt into the air, aiming to tackle him to the ground

Claire spotted a shining object under Giovanni's jacket. "JayJay, watch yourself!" she said. She was almost sure that all eyes were on them, seeing as they were near the edge of the roof. Claire was also almost sure that JayJay would be too caught in rage to hear her.

JayJay didn't hear a thing and tackled Giovanni to the ground and began to pound on him, untill a swift movement and a flash of steel stopped him cold. He choked and stood up, a knife sticking out of his chest on the right side. He growled and went to pull it out, but Giovanni kicked him down
