Eight and Beyond!

Claire summoned her Pidgeot and jumped on its back. "We must leave shortly. Time must be with us on the flight."

JayJay nodded and Dragonite soared up into the air. JayJay steeled himself over for their task. His back ached, but he knew he would be able to ignore it

Claire continued off behind him.

Soon he could see Kanto and Dragonite darted off, dive bombing to Cerulean. Within a minute it was in sight

Claire soared on Pidgeot after them. Upon arrival, the town seemed quiet. "It's a bit quiet, and I don't like the sound of it. Go for the Indigo Plateau and call for the Champion and Elite. Tell them what is going on. I will search for Misty and help her if she's a bit tied up."

JayJay nodded and visibly fought the urge to give Claire one last hug good bye. Dragonite launched back into the sky, heading north

Claire was aware of Jay's wanting to stay by her side. She waved as he flew off. "Be careful," she said, then headed off to the gym. Claire rushed inside.

"Get out of here, you nasty--"

"I'm here to give you a hand. Gyarados, want to catch some waves?" She tossed the Pokeball up into the air. Waves were forming from the water. "Up high!" The grunts were brought into the air by the water. "Down low!" They were sent soaring into the water. "In the middle!" The grunts starting swimming to the edge. Gyarados met them at the surface of the water and slashed its tail, then sent them flying through the roof.

"Sorry, guys, but you're too slow!" Misty yelled out. The girls started laughing and high-fived at the jokes.

Dragonite flew faster than a jet to the League HQ and saw the swarm of grunts. He steered Dragonite down and landed, then sent Dragonite off and called out his own team. His Pokemon roared out and they all joined the Elite and Lance the Champion to fight off the army of Grunts

Misty called out all her water Pokemon. Claire joined Misty outside and summoned her Gyarados. At the same time, they both yelled out "Surf!" Water rushed through the town, sending all of the grunts into a river and headed downstream.

"Alright, guys, You know what to do!" His Pokemon charged and tore through the Grunt's Pokemon with those of the Elite and Lance. It seemed the grunts weren't up to hand to hand combat today

The two high fived once more. She then managed to explain everything to Misty. Claire decided that it would be best if they waited until Jay's return.

A few hours later, the Grunts were defeated. JayJay explained to Lance, Will, Koga, Bruno, and Karen the plan and they all agreed. They all had enough Pokemon between them to fly to Cerulean and meet up with Claire and Misty

Claire spotted the crew returning to Cerulean. Both Misty and Claire waved in greeting.

"How'd it go?" Claire asked.

"The League HQ is safe. Where to next?" JayJay asked, happy to see Claire again

"All of us will split up from here, taking on one town each. Recover the gym leader. If you get recruits, bring them with you to Saffron. Once every gym leader is gathered, we will head to Saffron and reclaim it. You and I will take the lead from there."

The Elites and Lance nodded, then scattered like the wind to different towns. JayJay looked at Claire

"Where should we go?" He asked

"Seeing as the other members of the group have taken on a city each, there's really only two we have left to claim due to Saffron being last and Cerulean already claimed. Viridian and Pallet are left."

"I'll take Viridian by storm, you go save Pallet" He stated, then Dragonite swooped down and picked him up. The two zoomed off

Claire left for Pallet town. Upon arrival, they had already been ambushed by a set of patrol grunts. Between her Pokemon and physical combat, the battle wasn't too complicated.

JayJay demolished the Team Rocket forces with ease upon arrival. He survaeid the area, then called out to all the people of Viridian. He spoke to them and ignited fires in the hearts of every trainer, young and old. Soon, he and a small army headed for Saffron

Seeing as Pallet had already been abandoned, Claire was unable to bring recruits with her. She headed on to Saffron. Everyone was already there waiting.

JayJay noticed Claire on her way and smiled, then saw a tiny dot in the distance behind her. he knew that was the signal he was waiting for

Claire glanced behind her. "...What in the world?" she asked.

Claire could see the figure ridding the Charizard much better than anyone. It was Hans, and Claire could also see eight more figures behind him.

"You are so sneaky!" Claire said to JayJay. "I didn't expect your brother be here with us."
