"DIE!" Everything went black. Tom took a deep breath and released it as he started breathing normally again. The scouts were gone.

Kat checked under her pillow, under her bed, and even behind her desk.
"The three main places I'll keep it, and it's not there. I'll have to talk to them." Kat quickly packed up her laptop to keep anyone from reading her information. "And my laptop is coming with me."
She opened her door quietly, hoping her parents weren't home.
"Looking for this?" her father asked.
"Give me my journal."
"Not until you come home."
"After how you treated me? There's no way!"
"Kat, this isn't a game."
"Nor is my powers. You can't just treat me like I'm nothing."
"You're still my daughter."
"Yeah, your abused daughter."
"If you want to go run off and get killed--"
"You and mom are the reason I nearly froze to death last night."
"No, that was your own fault. You shouldn't have ran off."
"I'm not going to let you hurt me!"
"I could call the police on you."
"It's not like I'm eighteen."
"No, but you're still counted as a minor."
"That's it!"
Kat quickly grabbed her water bottle and sprayed it at her dad. Quickly, she froze the water and grabbed her journal. Her mom came running down the hall and she blocked the hall with a wall of water and ice from the nearby sink.

Without speaking a willing word, she packed up her suitcase quickly, and made sure that anything that would be truly important to her was not left behind. One reason she didn't speak was for the fact she was afraid if she did, then she'd give off the impression she was badly hurt inside. She was, to be honest, but, she didn't want to say anything. | |
