| Heron glanced at Maya, as she did the same. They exchanged angry looks and followed Alan. Heron sat beside the bed and placed his hand against Zelda's face. "She looks so pale..."
Maya stood beside Heron. "You weren't kidding earlier."
"I've never seen her in this condition before."
"That's because the energy, when you have her kind of power, eats at an Elite's source of power. Their body energy. And, if they don't have enough power, they grow weak from lack of it. An Elite is required a certain amount, and should they lose any of the minimum requirement, it will put them in a frozen state of sleep. In which their body will not allow them to use any more of that energy until they can recover. If the body doesn't recover, then they risk death."
Heron paused. "And how did you know that?"
"... I have no idea. I blame my training with Elite spirits of the past."
