Zelda traveled to the bridge of realms, a place she had only been once before when she started her travels to the Spirit Realm. There were several of them, but she had only one she wanted to go to.

Zelda ignored the comment, and glanced around. In the "Worlds within Worlds," it seemed that the telepathic communication was blocked off. Zelda was rather happy about it. She found herself standing on thin air, what it seemed like. As she walked around, she found a portal to one world. It had a green aurora. "Show me the Mortal Realm. A glimpse. Not a door." An opening formed where she could glance into the realm. It appeared destroyed. The realm had entered almost an era of despair.

Zelda traveled to other realms, searching for one she knew about. A realm hidden to those who are not under the Elite status. The Elite burial grounds. She wanted to visit it, to hopefully speak to spirits. After all, she was the only one of the group that could call to them because of her status as an Elite Guardian. Zelda had a wanting to speak with them. To talk with them on a matter she wouldn't with Alan. Telepathic connections could not be made in that realm, and only she could access that realm in general for the time being.

Zelda looked around, glancing at all the name plates for all the passed Elites. In the center, there was a large open clearing as if it was open to those who knew its purpose. Zelda sat in its center. "I call to the passed Elites. Those I may seek their wisdom of. My status be the Guardian. Protector of the innocent, and the bridge between spirit and mortal of the Elite plane of the current generation known."
The air grew hotter, slightly, as the sound of rumbling earth and rushing waters echoed. "Bearers of the four elements, I call upon you." Four figures, apparently from the ancient days of the Elites, formed with a golden glow surrounding them. "Guardian, the Elites have heard your call, and thus respond by sending us four to speak with you."

"Long time no see, sirs." Alan said as he took a sip of soda, his eyes glued to the TV as he watched with Alex.

"What can we do to keep things like that from happening?"
"We can firstly stop these interruptions. I sense already one watching you. It is dangerous enough with a viewer. We will speak later when the one you know is not breathing down your back. Also, keep a watchful eye for things later. We have something we wish to give to Maya, but cannot with a watcher." The four faded, and Zelda returned to her room.

Zelda walked up to Alan.
"No, you don't. Those meetings are personal, and if you don't stop I'll step into this little protection thing you keep doing. You've been pulling this bull crap for years. I'm not a teenager anymore, Alan. And stop trying to act like you're my parents."
Maya paced around her room, trying to ignore the voices of Alan and Zelda. "Will you guys shut up? I'm trying to pace!"

"I've been instructed to intercept all information to do with the enemy or the process of possession. If you want, I'd LOVE to switch places with you. You have it good. I'm stuck with this crap, having to find information, give out constant orders, obey various orders..."

"Whoever is giving you orders, tell them to lay off. I don't want to end up losing my temper again, because if I do I'll kill them. And when I reach that state, nothing can calm me down for a while. You know that from experience." Zelda walked out of the room, going into her room since that seemed like the only place she could be alone without Alan watching her every single move.
Maya paced around her room, finally closing her door. She laid on her bed, thinking. Not really about anything. She heard a small sound within her mind. A small jingle. A memory, she thought it was. Perhaps just a vision trying to form from when she was smaller.

Alan sighed. Zelda didn't get what he had to go through. He had to complete the orders. Their lives were at steak from them. He was lucky to find such great allies, but the work was extremely difficult, he had to admit. "This cursed mark..." Alan mumbled as he saw the infinity mark glow.

Maya glanced around her room, the jingle slightly louder but in her head. "What is that sound?" she wondered. "More importantly, where is that sound coming from?" She searched in the drawers, and under the bed. Nothing. She finally thought to check under her pillow. Maybe that had some luck.
Zelda got on her computer. She no longer had access to any former websites she used, with all of them crashed when the mortal world was practically taken over. She considering going back, hopefully doing some good on her own for a change. Ever since she decided to join that group as a teenager, it seemed to have brought her a lot of things she regretted. She hadn't even heard from Heron, which worried her greatly. Had he been caught in the destruction? She had to find out. She meditated, for possibly ten minutes. She only found one location. And tonight was her only chance to travel there while Alan wasn't bothering her.

The mortal realm.

"Good luck on finding Heron, Zel. I can't stop you, nor do I have any intention on stopping you. If you die, so be it. If you survive, great. Have fun. If you want to get to the mortal realm, just whisper mortalus upon entering the portal. That will break the loop of you ending up back here. Give Heron my regards." Alan's voice faded away. Alan stood up. "Alex, I have to go. I'll see you again soon..." Alan was gone as Ales remained fast asleep. The TV flashed an image of an infinity symbol as it shutdown.

Zelda sat on her bed, meditating to find the mortal realm's location. When she found it, she transported to its entry point in the "Worlds within Worlds." She searched for Heron before entering, but could not find him. She pulled her hands together and then apart, as if opening a curtain. The portal opened and allowed her entry. Zelda could sense Heron. She followed the trail she picked up.
Maya pulled up her pillow, now hearing Alan gone. There laid a key. A key on a necklace with a tiny bell on it. The key was almost heart shaped at the top, and within the heart was an "M" in almost diamond. "What is this?" she wondered. A message lay on paper under it.
"Hide this, but protect it. You will understand soon enough."

At the bottom of the note, it read, "Show it to no one. Not even those that surround you."
Maya placed the key on a necklace around her neck and hid it under the shirt she wore. She soon laid on her bed and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Zelda began to search for Heron. As she traveled across the grassy fields, she soon saw three men who had one man in a cage on this large truck. The three she did not know, but she sensed someone she knew in the cage. "Heron," she thought. "That's him." She quickly pulled a cloak over her and her scarf covered the lower part of her face. In their hand, held what appeared as a stunner. She quickly avoided any contact with the gun and all three ran off after a few blows. Picking up the stunner, she turned it to another setting to negate the effect. Opening the cage, she shot a beam at Heron. The effects, reversed. He walked up to her, knowing who was hiding under the black mask.
"I'm so glad you came, honey. I've been on the run for a while now, hoping to find you." He pushed back the cloak hood and scarf. "I told you. I'd never let you get hurt, Heron."

"What has been happening in the mortal realm?"
"Complete take over. While you've been gone, spirits have been taking over because someone opened a portal. I don't know if it was spirit or mortal that did it, but whoever did unleashed chaos. A few spirits started coming after me, but I don't know why."
"It's possible they did it to come after me. Alan has no reason to return here, and Maya won't come here because I won't let her. Alex, well, no comment to him. We've got to get out of here."
"What about the people here?"
"We have to wait. If we fight now, we won't win. I don't have the power to do it."
"What happened?"
"Late last night, I was attacked. Maya said I was out for the entire day."
"Zelda, who attacked you?"
"Who... Even I don't know who, but I know it was someone wielding black energy. I was struck down by a Black Energy attack."

"Are you awake?" "Yeah, somewhat." "I need you to do a task for me." Suddenly, Alan appeared in the mortal realm. "Heron, long time no see. I have a delivery for you. I see that you caught up to Heron, Zel. No worries, I'm only here to deliver this to Heron. It's of vital importance that he receives it. I have no clue what it is, though."

Heron takes the package and opens it. There was a locked case under all the packaging. Using a few tools he picked up, he managed to pick the lock. "Looks like they didn't supply a key for a reason," Heron stated. "I can pick locks. I see why they didn't." Heron laughed a bit at his statement.
