| Kat quickly took the chip out. She had to say something in hopes of fooling the assistant principal.
"I... er, got a little lost trying to find the Math classroom. Usually, Tom helps me find my way around but we got separated..."
Kat knew her story wasn't exactly good. It was the best she had for the moment, because the assistant principal still held that threatening glare at her.

| "Dark data detected." Tom spoke. The other half of the chip flew to Tom as he inserted in the communicator. "Dreams Beta, dark data detected..." The assistant principal took her true form as she yelled, "DIE--" The dark data was purified and absorbed by Tom as he spoke, "Chip activate." "Exporting recovered data. Interrogation files recovered. Memories recovered." The communicator turned off as the chip slid out. Tom threw the chip to Kat, who immediately caught it." "Dark drone data replicate absorbed. That shows them to try to send in a scout to our world." Tom explained, "Dark drones have been scouting for rare artifacts. This chip, for instance, can track such energy. It's known as the Chip of Dreams for the fact that it can track dream energy. Dark drones rely on this dream energy, commonly known as spiritual energy. Use this chip in your darkest hour. It's your trump card, now."

| Kat was thankful for the quick transport. Going upstairs, she quickly changed clothes and went downstairs right as her parents came in.
"Hi mom and dad."
"Hello, honey. Did you finish your homework?" her mom asked.
"Yes, I did."
"Did you get any tutoring done?" her dad asked.
"My tutor was busy this weekend. They said we'd start on Monday."
"Wonderful. Well, when Monday starts, your pounding down on those books. We can't have you making any lower than a 95, now can we?"
"What?! You guys were satisfied enough with a 93!"
"Ah, but isn't it worth making you go higher?"
"Do you know how hard my classes are?"
"Speaking of which, didn't your progress reports come out just recently?"
"Yes, but that doesn't mean--"
"Show us the grades."
Kat sighed and gave the reports.
"You better bring those up before report cards. Until they come up, you are to stay in your room and study. Nothing else."
"What?!"
"Go. Now. Tomorrow is Sunday. We're going with your aunt to church."
"There's no way I'm going."
"Oh, yes you are."
"No, I'm not."
"You've been going all your life. You're not stopping now."
"I don't follow the religion you and dad do! Why do you think I stayed with my grandmother so much?"
The room suddenly grew quiet, and Kat knew they were furious.
"TO. YOUR. ROOM."
Kat quickly rushed upstairs and locked her door before her parents could say anymore.

| Kat sighed and laid on her bed. She opened her water bottle and let the water float in the air. Forming ice shards and bubbles around the room, she heard her parents suddenly open the door with a key. She quickly hid the communicator.
"You are to stay in your room. Get out your textbook--" Kat's mother stated.
"I knew you would grow into that talent," Kat's father stated. "So that's what you've been doing to slack off."
"How would you know? You leave me alone in my room for hours at a time."
"Because you showed signs of it as a child. Your friend is to leave and you are not to use your powers. That's an order, Kat."
