As I plan to start working back on Fanfiction soon, I thought I'd make this topic to upload any of it that I write here. I'm currently an author of four fanfictions on www.fanfiction.net/~ZeldaG2016
Legend of Zelda: -Confusing Love -Before Twilight -Never Make A Bet -The Mother and The Daughter
About two years ago, in the year 2009, I started Project: Falling into Darkness for the Legend of Zelda. This project was cancelled in 2011 being that I could not support it after a mishap with my documents. Seven chapters into the story, with the last half prepared to upload to the internet, I lost the last half of the story. With plans to restart the project under the name of Eternal Darkness, I'm looking into a plot line that certainly needs improvement. I tend to model certain characters after certain people I know, and I've already set a model for three of the main characters. In due time, I want to upload each chapter as I get it completed. However, please note the following disclaimer: All content that I upload to TheMillsberryGrove will be featuring certain content within the documents that are not owned by me. Items such as "The Legend of Zelda" I do not own and I do not claim ownership for. I merely own the characters I personally create, the plot that the story follows, and locations that do not follow the natural game, book, or movie itself. All copyrights of "The Legend of Zelda" go to Nintendo and its respective owner, Shigeru Miyamoto, for the creation and production of the series. | |

| In this post, I'll list all the stories I have completed along with a method of reading the document in some orderly manner. Eventually, all of these will be revised. Note that majority of them were posted in 2010. They need revision. I ask that this is disregarded until a new edition has been uploaded. Confusing Love:- Spoiler:

Princess Zelda lay in her room one evening, thinking about all the events she had faced in the last ten to fifteen years. Ever since Ganon's banishment to the shadow realm, she had been always thinking about someone special. The young, blonde boy in the green tunic who was her hero in her childhood. It was Link. He saved her life so many times from Ganon's clutches that even she could not count. Damsel in distress. Same old story, she thought. There was something always there between them. What was it though that made her feel so strange now and again? A young forest boy from the Kokiri Forest and she, a maiden who was princess of Hyrule, destined to lead the kingdom. There was too much that was different, at least, that's what Zelda thought. She had been pondering this thoughts for at least and hour. The moon was high in the sky and she soon fell into a deep sleep with dreams of these thoughts, trying to answer what she originally couldn't do.
The next morning, Zelda awakened with a yawn and prepared for the day. Once she had changed into a new dress and ate breakfast, she walked outside to Castle Town for a morning stroll. It was about time she get out of the castle for a while. Many people greeted her, and a few men stood paralyzed at her beauty, which was not a surprise to her. She giggled at the stunned men. Zelda walked out to Hyrule field and to Lake Hylia. The calming waters always cleared her thoughts when she had issues to straighten out. It soothed her. Nearby, she saw Link with Epona. It had been so long since she last saw him and she began to feel a warm feeling within her. Link turned around, seeing Zelda sitting in front of the lake.
"Princess Zelda, it's wonderful to see you again," said Link, calmly. Zelda sat there, stunned, and unable to say anything. What held her there? His accent was charming. He had grown much since she last saw him. Zelda finally got a grip on herself and managed to speak. "It's wonderful to see my hero again," she grinned. Link walked over to Zelda and sat next to her.
Both of them sat there, talking to each other, for quite some time. Zelda still had thoughts in her mind of what was it about Link that made her have warm feelings within her. At sunset, she finally realized it was late and she needed to return to the castle. She didn't want to leave Link's side, however. She decided not to leave him. It grew dark, and the hours of twilight were upon them.
"I think it would be best if I returned you home, princess," Link explained. "If we do not hurry, things may get a bit rough. I've been out late on adventures and things get a bit creepy," he continued. Zelda sighed. "I suppose you're right." Link walked Zelda over to Epona and the two rode on horse back to Hyrule Castle. Zelda didn't want the time with Link to end but if she didn't hurry, her father would be sending out knights to find her. She didn't want Link in trouble with her father, or things would get a bit bad. When they arrived at the castle, Zelda walked back inside and Link dashed off on Epona. Truth was, Link had felt the same feelings as Zelda and he knew that he'd have to admit to her how he really felt or he may lose her soon. It's true, Link thought. I do love her…
Zelda went straight to her room instead of stopped to see her father. She had to have time alone. She needed to sort out her thoughts while things were still going through her mind. After a while, she thought she finally came to a conclusion of why she felt as she did around Link. After all this time, and all these years…I love him…but there is so much keeping us apart. I am of royalty and he is a simple forest boy. How could we stay together if we are that distant? she said to herself. She didn't want to admit her feelings to Link or she may risk causing more damage than what was already dealt previously.
The next afternoon, Zelda walked out to the courtyard. The sun shone down brightly on her and she had a wonderful feeling. She heard someone outside the courtyard. After a moment, the sound ceased and someone came in. It was Link again. He walked up to Zelda and took her hand. "I want you to come with me for a little while. I have something for you." Zelda nodded and he took her to Epona. They rode to Lake Hylia again and Link took Zelda to the middle island in the lake, then pulled out his ocarina.
"Link, what is going on?" Zelda asked. "Just wait," he said. Link played a melody that was so familiar to Zelda, and yet, she couldn't figure out what it was. Then, she realized what it was. It was a tune that her previous nursemaid called it as her lullaby. Link knew that Zelda loved that tune ever since she was a child.
"You always knew that I loved that tune. Impa played it for me when I was little and you always played it for me as I grew up. We didn't speak for a long time, and now you come back and play this for me." Zelda said, repeating the tune in her mind. "Yes, and now I have something I want to tell you, but I don't exactly know how to put it in words…" Link said, pausing. Link came toward Zelda, putting his arms around her, and their lips touched. Zelda stood, paralyzed, in the spot she stood. She wanted to pull away, but she stayed. Something kept her there. Link closed his eyes and held Zelda close to him, stayed in the same position he was in. Zelda was blushing, and Link finally pulled back from her. "I…Link.." Zelda said, speechless. "Zelda…I love you…" Link whispered to her. Zelda walked up to him and brushed a hair from Link's face. The sun began to set and Zelda hugged Link tightly, sitting her head on his shoulder. For a long time, Zelda and Link stood there, comforting each other just with each other's presence... Before Twilight:- Spoiler:

I remember the day when Hyrule was overcome by the Twili-creatures. The day when my kingdom had fallen to the Twilight King. It was that day that I had to leave my throne to protect my people. At that time in my life, I wondered if we'd ever get through it. Though, I was lucky to find the chosen hero that made my choices worth it. That made them the right choices.
I was in my chamber, reading over several documents. The bright sun shone through my window, lighting up my room. It was a beautiful Spring morning. However, I felt something. Something coming. I felt almost as if something was off balance. I said nothing to my royal court. It was something they would not understand. Nothing they should concern themselves over, for as I was not sure of what I was sensing. My court always seemed to think that I was foolish. Should I be foolish for something I am gifted with and they are not? They were not open enough to such a belief. Even to this day, they aren't. I am blessed by Nayru. Why should I have been a foolish person for beliefs in a power that existed within me that they were forbidden to know about? Regardless, I knew something was coming.
As the morning was going down to noon, I walked to the courtyard for a little bit of sun while I was nearing completion of my work. I felt this… rumble in the earth. I walked up one of the towers to see over the castle. Over the horizon, I saw something that I had never seen before. There were these creatures, hundreds of them, coming to Hyrule Castle. I was not sure of what they were at the time, but I later understood they were very dangerous creatures. They were beasts of the twilight-realm. A realm opposite of our light-realm. I heard footsteps behind me, and my heart began to race. I was wondering at that moment who was coming. Could it have been one of the creatures already in the castle? That's what I wanted to know.
"Princess, we must get you to safety. An army is coming to storm the castle." I didn't like the idea of running back to hide. No, not this time. I was going to fight if I had to.
"I'm not stepping down. I'll join the fight if I have to." I was going to hurry to gather my armor, and then get my sword. Hyrule needed me at that moment, I knew.
"But, my queen-" he questioned.
"Don't ask questions. Ready the soldiers. We have a war coming."
"Yes, Your Highness." The man bowed to me, but, all I wanted at that moment was protection for my people.
I quickly ran down the tower and prepared. When I had my armor and such on, and my sword in hand, I quickly proceeded to the main room, waiting for the moment when the dreaded beasts would enter. It was my duty to protect Hyrule, and thus I was going to with all I had.
The beasts stormed the castle, and the knights were instantly overtaken by the creatures. Even the guards in front of me were shaking in fear. I was not. I was staying in place, prepared to do what I needed. Though, I felt my heart skip a beat. Then, he appeared. The man that changed the entire battle. The man that led the army. His name was Zant. The king of twilight.
"It is time for you to choose: surrender or die," Zant told me. I was unsure of what to do. The men were hurt badly, and were suffering because of these creatures. Zant continued speaking. "Oh, yes, a question for all the land and people of Hyrule… Life? Or death?"
At that moment, I was left with no choice. The royal guards looked back at me, and I was almost speechless. I glanced at all the soldiers, realizing we were outmatched. Hyrule was in danger, but, I had no other option… I had to surrender. I drop my sword to the ground, to show my choice.
Zant quickly overtook Hyrule. I was forced to stay within the highest tower. It was part of my own choice. When the world was concealed in twilight, I shivered slightly, and decided to wear my cloak to hide myself from it. From my window, the world grew dark and a heavy rain poured down. And at that moment, I knew, Hyrule had fallen to the twilight and I became its twilight princess. Never Make A Bet:- Spoiler:

We find Zelda, Link, Ganondorf and Midna all together in Hyrule Castle. Usually, this isn't allowed, but a truce has been made with Ganondorf…for now, and everyone is together for the first time, chatting in the meeting hall near the west gate. Everyone is enjoying a small glass of wine to celebrate the truce since it's a traditional drink for celebration until Ganondorf starts conversation.
"You know, it's amazing we even got this far. A truce? Heh, you don't see that often," Ganondorf confirmed.
"Well, when it's good vs. evil, what do you honestly expect? A sudden 'oh, yes, lets be buddy-buddy' thing? Eh, that's a no," Midna commented.
"Well, a truce is better than being captured, " Zelda added.
"Hey, that's right. I had to save you a lot too!" Link began to laugh under his breath.
Zelda sends a glance to Link saying 'don't go there' in her mind.
"Oh, yes, little miss damsel in distress." Midna stated, laughing hard.
"Oh Goddess. Here we go" Link rolls his eyes, turning to Ganondorf and laughed.
"Shut up you idiot," Zelda said, taking a sip of wine.
"Hey, I'm not the one going around actually GETTING captured," Midna replied.
"No, but if it wasn't for Mr. King of all Evil over there, I wouldn't be in all that crap." Zelda glanced at Ganondorf.
"Don't look at me!" Ganondorf looked away, then turned back. "Eh, yeah, I'm to blame for that, " he smirked.
"Ha! Point proven!" Zelda called out.
"What point? You never made one," Midna questioned, then rolls her eyes.
"Oh, give it a rest ladies," Link stated.
"You stay out of this!" Midna and Zelda yelled.
"Psh. Cat fight. A good fight is all I need today" Ganondorf murmured, prepared to laugh.
Link is holding in a large laugh while Midna and Zelda continue to argue. Ganondorf is just sitting there, sipping his drink and just waiting to see who would go out first. He kept wondering if he should stop them, then he thought he'd just let them settle it.
"Oh yeah, 'Look at me, I'm the princess of Hyrule! Woohoo!' " Midna teased.
"Alright that's it. Come here and fight me then!" Zelda exclaimed, drawing her sword.
Link moves over a chair to sit next to Ganondorf. Ganondorf is already about to start laughing as the girls try to settle a fight.
"Okay, so, Zelda versus Midna. Who are you betting on?" Ganondorf asked, chuckling under his breath.
"Fifty rupees says Zelda wins," Link whispered.
"I bet Din herself that Midna wins. Bets on, boy. No turning back," Ganondorf replied.
Zelda and Midna start fighting with each other, sword on sword, for what seemed like an hour. Link and Ganondorf were simply enjoying watching the fight and didn't want to stop it. They just figured to let girls be girls and let them settle it their way or they might end up with a sword in their chest before the night was over with.
"Oh yes, I'm little miss perfect. Link, you're my hero!" Midna teased, giving a cute look.
"I'm Midna and I failed my homeland because I was afraid of facing Zant. Then had to seek help to save my own life!" Zelda teased in return.
"Hey now, I didn't flee because of that and you know it you moron! Okay, now you made me mad. BRING IT, SISTER." Midna takes a swing with her sword.
"Oh, it's on now. BRING IT." Zelda dodges, then low-kicks Midna to the ground.
Midna jumps back up and swings at Zelda with her sword. Zelda barely dodges and then attempts to use her magic ability. Midna then uses hers and throws and energy ball at Zelda. Zelda is hit and is flown back into a wall. Zelda becomes angry and in return throws a golden sphere. Midna is flown back into the nearby wall. Both girls come running at each other, swords in hand and swing as they jump to strike. When the blades touch, a large explosion goes off and both girls fall to the ground.
"Enough of this!" three female voices call.
Three women appear and it is Nayru, Din, and Farore. The three goddesses of Hyrule. Ganondorf and Link stand in shock and the goddesses find Zelda and Midna unconscious. Din walks over to Link and Ganondorf.
"Alright, pay up." Din states.
Ganondorf and Link sit in shock, but gives one-hundred rupees to Din. Din walks back to Farore and Nayru. Farore and Nayru look at each other, then look back at Din. All three girls walk toward the hall door and fade as they come upon the door. In the distant, Link and Ganondorf heard an echo.
"I won the bet. That's a deal, gentlemen. " Din calls. Link and Ganondorf look at each other in disbelief, then glance at the unconscious Midna and Zelda. Din was right. They lost their bet…to a Goddess. How? They'll never know. Another mystery for only the future to wonder.

Summary: Queen Madalyn Istella Hyrule has grown to be a strong woman. Her wisdom knows no limit, and she is a very beautiful woman. Her hair is brunette, and her eyes are sky blue. Although, she has aged to become an elder of her people. At age 43, she gave birth to Hyrule's princess. Princess Zelda Istella Hyrule. When Zelda was born, Queen Madalyn soon learned she carried a terminal illness. She was not expected to live much longer, however, the word of the illness stayed within the castle walls. Queen Madalyn kept her illness a secret while her daughter grew up, knowing that it would frighten Princess Zelda greatly if she knew her mother was dying.

"Queen Madalyn, you've given birth to a healthy young little girl."
Queen Madalyn took the child into her arms, cradling it in her arms. The child was crying only so slightly, calming down by the peaceful mother.
"What should we name her, darling?" the king asked.
"Perhaps, in honor of our ancestor that started this line, we should name her Zelda. Zelda the first was a brave woman. I feel our child will be like her," Queen Madalyn replied. The king laughed slightly.
"Very well. Zelda Istella Hyrule. She will be a great ruler of this kingdom one day."
Over the next year, Queen Madalyn started to feel herself grow slightly weaker. She was a strong female, although, something had caused her to become weak. And, at times, she was light-headed without notice. The king asked her to visit the doctors of the castle, in which she did. She learned she had developed a terminal illness. This frightened her slightly, especially now with a new child growing up. Queen Madalyn knew she would not live much longer, and attempted to spend much time with her daughter. It was hard, because she was being treated by the medicine that was available. At that time in her life, she was afraid. Afraid she would not live long enough for her to pass on all she knew. Queen Madalyn was afraid of dying before she could teach her daughter how to be a proper queen in her place.
- Seven Years Later -
The sun shone brightly through Queen Madalyn's window that Autumn morning. Her velvet red room lit up in beauty. The queen sat up in her bed, wearing her white night gown, and rubbing her eyes slightly to adjust to the bright light. Her brunette hair waved slightly in the wind as a breeze flowed through the room, and her eyes had a faint shimmer.
"Good morning, my sweet." a large man wearing an outfit almost like armor had come into the room after gently knocking. "How are you feeling?"
"I feel no better than yesterday, sadly."
"You really must watch your step, dear. I know that the illness has kept you off balance. I do not want our daughter to-"
"I know that, Daphnes. But, you know as well as I do…" Madalyn trailed off in her statement, not wanting to finish.
"Madalyn, I worry for you. Ever since Zelda's birth, you've grown weaker little by little. I know I'm saying this and it's seven years later, but, still. You are a very strong woman. I've noticed that you spend your little bit of free time with her when you can." Madalyn didn't reply. She knew that her time in life was surely limited now. And, it was growing shorter each day.
"Dear, why not rest today? You've been back and forth from Hyrule's best doctors. Zelda has been asking about you. She says she missed spending time with you."
"I'll take her out on horseback today. I planned to go riding for a change. It'll give us both some time out of the castle."
"Will you be all right?"
"I'll be fine, and we both will be safe on our own."
"Do you want to send a guard on the ride?"
"No. We won't be away for too long. Maybe a couple of hours."
"Just be careful," Daphnes replied. He then kissed Madalyn gently and left the room.
Queen Madalyn changed her dress for the day. She wore a beautiful sapphire dress with the Royal Family design on the base of the dress. Her hair was brushed well and styled beautifully. As she left her bedroom, a knight greeted her.
"Good morning, your highness. What may I do for you today?"
"Could you ready my horse? I plan to take my daughter out for her first horseback ride."
"Yes, ma'am. Right away."
As the knight departed, Madalyn proceeded off to breakfast. Shortly after, she departed with Zelda to her horse that was waiting for her outside.
"Mommy, is that a horse?" Zelda asked, who was being carried by Madalyn. Lucky for Madalyn, Zelda was very light-weight being that she was merely seven years old.
"Yes, dear," Madalyn answered. "His name is Alexander. You can pet him. He isn't going to hurt you, I promise."
"He's beautiful…" Zelda said, as she stroked Alexander's snout.
Alexander was a silver colored horse with a dark-gray mane. His eyes were blue, like Madalyn's and Zelda's. Zelda looked much like Madalyn in many ways. The only true difference was the age appearance. Madalyn was much older than Zelda, and with her illness, it always gave her a tired look. It's not like it was really a lie. Madalyn was always tired now, but, fought against her illness to be able to spend time with Zelda. Even if she felt weak, she did her best to spend a few minutes with her daughter. Daphnes insisted that she rest, and that Zelda would be fine with him. However, Madalyn knew that Zelda needed her mother and thus giving up was not an option for her.
"My mother had given me a horse before she passed away, many years ago. She said it was about time I learned how to ride. And she taught me how before she died a week later," Madalyn explained. Zelda hugged Madalyn in an attempt to make her feel better. However, it wasn't much use. It only made her feel a bit worse in her heart. To know she was going to die before her daughter was going to be old enough to have much memory of her was very painful. Zelda was only seven years old. Madalyn couldn't tell her the truth. She didn't have the heart to tell her that she was dying.
Madalyn climbed up onto Alexander, with Zelda in her lap, and rode off into Hyrule field together.
The truth was, there was a reason why Madalyn was so much afraid of dying before Zelda was old enough. It was because she didn't want Zelda hurt. Madalyn wanted to protect her from dangers that could come to her. When Madalyn learned that she was diagnosed with a terminal illness, seven years ago, she became very depressed and it took her much time to recover. She was still spending time with Zelda and attending to her required duties as a queen, however, things weren't the same. After a few months, up to a year, Madalyn had fully accepted her illness and thus did what she could to stay alive and well for Zelda. Sometimes, Madalyn found herself waking up in her sleep and crying. She believes it could be what she dreams and does not remember that is what causes it. It scared her immensely the first time. Madalyn had nightmares on occasion of what would happen after she passed.
The two females traveled all across Hyrule to see the brilliant green landscape. It was truly what was known as the "Golden Land" of the world. It's what connected the passages to the valleys, the forests, and the lakes together. Soon, the sun began to set.
"Want to go home, honey? You look tired." Zelda nodded, partially asleep. Madalyn knew how Zelda felt. She wasn't feeling well, however. Alexander galloped back to Hyrule Castle to go home. When they returned, Daphnes greeted them with a loving hug. When he glanced into Madalyn's eyes, he knew something was wrong.
"Zelda, I've got to have a moment with Mommy. Can you go get ready for bed?"
"Yes, Daddy. Good night, Mommy. And thank you for the ride." Zelda hugged Madalyn, then ran off toward her room. She was tired, but very happy. Daphnes turned his attention back to Madalyn.
"Madalyn," he started. "What's wrong?"
"Daphnes…" Madalyn replied faintly.
"Madalyn-" Daphnes quickly understood the message as Madalyn fell to her knees in slight pain.
"Someone call the medics! Quickly!" Daphnes yelled out.
Merely moments later, Madalyn was forced to lay down by Daphnes who understood she had little strength at that moment. Help soon arrived, however, she was unable to be transported to the medical building. Thus, she was moved to her bedroom where she was able to be treated and still rest.
They soon learned that Madalyn was badly weak, and now bedridden in her inability to stay standing for a long period of time. She learned that the illness had surely progressed into a mild state and her condition was not well. Madalyn's fever was high, which is the reason of why she collapsed unexpectedly. Later that night, she rested in her bedroom and kept a few candles lit to keep the room from being completely dark. Zelda soon grew restless, and wandered up to her mother's room in worry and concern.
"Mommy?" Zelda asked, opening the bedroom door gently. Madalyn was unable to sleep, and Zelda had expected that.
"Zelda, what are you doing up?" Madalyn asked as Zelda climbed into the bed and sat on the edge.
"I had heard you were hurt. Those people who came in had said that you had fallen. Are you okay?" Zelda eyes were filled with worry, Madalyn could tell.
"I'm fine, honey. I just tripped and got a little bruised up. It's nothing bad." Madalyn replied calmly. "You've had a long day. Why don't you go back to bed and get some sleep? I know you're tired." Madalyn placed her hand over Zelda's. Zelda nodded and hugged Madalyn.
"Are you sick, Mommy? Your face feels overly warm."
"Everything is all right, Zelda. It's nothing much."
Zelda smiled gently and left the bedroom, passing by Daphnes as he was coming up to check on Madalyn. She started coughing, and it was painful to her chest. Daphnes entered the room quietly and sat beside Madalyn. He brushed a hair out of her face as her coughing eased again.
"It's getting worse, isn't it?" Daphnes asked, taking Madalyn's hand. Madalyn felt a tear run down her face.
"Daphnes… I don't know how much longer it's going to be."
"You have to tell her the truth," Daphnes stated.
"The time isn't right for that. I'll tell her when it's right," Madalyn replied.
Daphnes sighed. After a long minute of silence, he asked, "Will you be all right tonight?" Madalyn was unsure as to how to reply.
"As long as Nayru will be my guide."
Daphnes smiled slightly and kissed Madalyn on the forehead. "Good night, dear."
"Good night." Daphnes left the room.
Madalyn was unable to sleep for another couple of hours, and spent her time writing. She wrote as much as she could with as much exhaustion she had and with how weak she was. Even writing was hard for Madalyn now. However, she was determined to do as much as she could until she could fall asleep. She didn't until about early morning, about an hour before the sun was to rise.
"One more day. It's all I ask…" she thought. Madalyn knew that her time was drawing closer and closer.
The following day, Daphnes decided to let Madalyn sleep as much as she needed. She didn't wake up until noon, regardless. But, she asked to stay in her room alone because she was busy. In the meantime, Daphnes went to speak with the Hyrule doctor that visited the previous night.
"Her highness currently has a mild fever that isn't coming down. The illness has done much damage that we cannot reverse. This is possibly why she is denying medication now." The doctor sighed. "It will take a miracle of her recovery. May the Goddesses be with all of Hyrule and its' Royal Family at this time."
"Thank you for doing your best. It's all anyone can do at this point," Daphnes replied.
"I'm sorry, Your Majesty. My best wishes to Queen Madalyn in hopes of her recovery at this time." Daphnes nodded, and the doctor bowed before exiting.
Daphnes fell into tears. His wife would not be able to live much longer, he knew. Her illness had weakened her body tremendously. It was a mild case. How Madalyn survived seven years remained unknown to him.
[Chapter 2: Death and Grief] - Spoiler:
Chapter 2: Death and Grief When Madalyn awakened that morning, she had felt much worse than the previous night. She had suspected it was from staying up so late. However, her breathing had gone uneasy. Madalyn spent what time she could to finish her writing. Her curtains remained closed, to keep things private. Many of the men and women of the town were quite surprised that the curtain was closed. Each morning, Queen Madalyn would wake up early to see the rise of dawn, and then close them at evening for the beginning of twilight. That day, Madalyn did neither.
Madalyn ate very little that day, being unable to tolerate much food on her stomach. Thus, very few people spoke to her. She asked for time alone to do her work. It wasn't work she was doing, however. She was writing her will. Asking of her daughter to take her place as queen of the throne in her place when she was old enough. For her husband to watch over her daughter. And, when Zelda was old enough, to marry of her own choice. Not for her father to decide her husband. To leave the choice of marriage to Zelda. Madalyn didn't write too much, however, she did leave a message in her writing to Zelda. One thing was certain, however. Madalyn didn't want the will to be read until after she had passed. She didn't want Daphnes or Zelda to find it until she was certain it was her time. Madalyn rolled up the paper like she would with a scroll, and placed it into her drawer next to her bed. As she placed it in, Daphnes entered the room in hopes that Madalyn was feeling well. He came to sit beside her as she laid back down onto her pillow.
"…It's not getting better, is it?" Daphnes asked, his eyes showing great concern. Madalyn shook her head, and soon starting coughing yet again. "The doctor told me you were refusing treatment now."
"There's no point to be wasting herbs that could be used on someone who could be treated and healed."
"You were always so particular on how your healing properties were used. And how often they were used."
Madalyn did not reply. She didn't know what to say. At that moment, the sun was merely moments from setting.
"Daphnes," Madalyn started. "…send someone for Zelda. Please." Daphnes nodded, though hiding the tears that were forming in his eyes. He walked outside her bedroom for a moment to speak with a guard.
"Find my daughter. Madalyn needs her here now. Please, don't ask questions. There isn't a moment to lose."
"Right away, Your Majesty."
Madalyn had started coughing heavily. As Daphnes returned into the room, he realized why she had sent for Zelda. Her breathing was uneven and her fever was not any better. At that moment, Daphnes had saw in her eyes what appeared like slight fear. The weakness within her had shown in that split moment. The true feelings her illness had given her that she had hid for seven long years. Moments later, Zelda entered the room and stood next to Madalyn's bed. At that second, she realized her mother had been ill and had not told her.
"Zelda… there's something I've been needing to tell you. Something I haven't been able to tell you since you were born."
"Yes, Mommy?" Zelda's eyes filled with concern.
"When you were born, I had learned that I had an illness… something that makes a person very sick. Although it was progressing slowly, I was very sick at the time. I had been to the doctors often to try to prevent it from hurting me… however, there is no cure to such a thing. They told me… They told me I was going to pass away before you were even a year or so old."
"And, Zelda, your mother was able to prevent that," Daphnes added, knowing it was hard for Madalyn to explain.
"Do you want to know why I was able to hold until you were older?" Madalyn asked Zelda.
"Why?" There was a bit of shakiness in Zelda's voice.
"Because I asked Nayru, one of the Goddesses of Hyrule, to allow me to live until I could be with you and explain. I was not supposed to turn fifty and live to see it. But, Nayru gave me the strength to live and be with you."
"Zelda, there's no easier way to tell you this, but, your mother is dying."
Zelda began to cry, and she held her mother's hand tightly. A tear ran down Madalyn's face. Even Daphnes was about to cry, but, tried to stay as strong as he could for both Zelda and Madalyn. Madalyn had felt her breathing become shallow. Zelda came close to her, as if to hug her. Madalyn kissed her on the forehead gently.
"Zelda… I love you…" Madalyn said quietly in her final words. At that moment, Daphnes left to Madalyn's balcony. The sun was setting, and Zelda was crying. The townsmen and women looked up to Daphnes as he removed his crown in respect to Madalyn.
"People of Hyrule, hear my words. Some of you have recently heard that our queen, my wife, had fallen ill. This is true, however, I am sad to bring the news… that Queen Madalyn has just now passed away. It is a tragedy for both her daughter and I, and all of Hyrule. However, I feel even now that her spirit will remain with us for all of time. May the Goddesses watch over her in the afterlife."
At that moment, all of the townsfolk grew silent and many removed their headwear in respect. Daphnes returned to Madalyn's bedroom and walked beside her. He kissed her forehead gently and lifted Zelda into his arms. The guards had heard Daphnes announcement from outside, and allowed the two time alone. After it grew dark, Daphnes returned Zelda to her bedroom for her to sleep. Tomorrow would be a long day for all the people of Hyrule. Daphnes spent the evening making funeral arrangements.
When Daphnes returned to Madalyn's room to blow out the candle that was left lit, he pulled the scroll out of the drawer that Madalyn had been writing on before he entered. He had figured she was writing her final words into a will. He didn't dare open it. Not until the time was right.
The following day, everyone was dressed in black. A casket had been brought to Hyrule Castle overnight to prepare for the funeral. Madalyn was dressed in white and rested within it. A group of guards carried the casket to Kakariko Village where the Royal Family graveyard was. The men and women of Hyrule gathered in the town and opened a path for the men to walk. King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule and Princess Zelda Istella Hyrule followed behind on a horse. Zelda sat in Daphnes's lap while on horseback, and both of them were trying their best to avoid crying at that time.
At the arrival of the Kakariko graveyard, many men and women gathered in the village to pay respect to the late queen of Hyrule. Daphnes and Zelda climbed off the horse and the casket was sat next to the burial spot. A tombstone was placed that read, "Queen Madalyn Istella Hyrule, Rest In Peace." Daphnes pulled out a piece of paper, the one that Madalyn had written on.
"I thank you all for coming. This was a very tragic thing for everyone. What I have with me is something that our queen had wanted read at this time, after she had passed away."
Daphnes unrolled the paper and read aloud,
"To the people of Hyrule, I leave you all with this. It is time I explain the reason for why I have passed away. Seven years ago, when my daughter, Zelda Istella Hyrule, was born, I had learned I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and I was not supposed to live very long. I hid this to avoid concern within the people of Hyrule. However, even my own daughter was not told until my final moments with her. I dearly apologize for not explaining all of this sooner, however, it was important to keep it within the castle walls. When I had learned that my condition had worsened severely, I denied treatment because I knew that my time had surely come. I cannot evade death. No human being can. It is the circle of life.
"To my husband, I ask a favor of you. When Zelda grows old enough, I ask to let her marry of her own choice. For her to choose her husband. I know you want the best for her, but, only she can make that choice. I give you much love and may all the Goddesses watch over you. I also thank you for being there for me during the hard times in my life. Without you, there would be no telling where I would be to this day. I love you greatly.
"To my daughter, I ask that you take my place as heir to the throne when you grow old enough to become queen. You will be a fine queen, I know. I wish I could've taught you all I knew before my passing, however, you are too young to learn some things you will learn when you are older. I know I scared you greatly, however, that was not my goal. Watch over your father, and take care of Hyrule. I love you, honey."
When the reading was done, Daphnes closed the scroll. The casket was closed tightly and placed within the ground. When the funeral was done, the people of Hyrule returned to their homes after paying proper respect. Daphnes and Zelda both placed a bouquet of flowers on the burial spot. Daphnes picked Zelda up into his arms and wiped the tears from her face. The two returned to Hyrule Castle on horseback, only looking back once to see Madalyn's grave.

| In this post, I'll be adding updates to any work that I currently have in-progress or any important information regarding any fanfiction that is being regarded to. Confusing Love is currently in the revision stages and my hopes are to have the revision completed in a month or so. Sure, I could spent a full weekend editing the entire paper again. The problem is that, as of recent, I really haven't had that much time to work on my fanfiction alone. Between current event papers and all the studying I've had to stack, it hasn't been easy to keep up with my fanfiction. I've got another fanfiction in the planning session at the moment. I won't release much information right now, seeing as I want to get some revisions done before I do much on this planned project. If all goes well and the planning session is completed, the story will be announced soon enough. I do not expect to have this officially started, as far as writing chapters go, until April. Again, I do not plan to start writing the official story until April. By that point, I will have most likely gotten through everything I need to in order to properly begin. I have some events coming up that is going to pull me away from my fanfiction for some time. Those events I will not name until needed to. In the mean-time, I'll be working to get as much done as I possibly can. Now, revisions are going to take time and so is planning. Bear with me until I can get some personal matters straightened out. It's going to take some time and I will be off and on updating as time passes. Any questions regarding this update can be sent through my contact form via email or PM. Any outside members can contact me through an email address that I will be listing below. - Spoiler:
